Tooling List - Argyle International

Lenses require tooling –test plates, for the technicians to use in grinding and polishing the spherical surfaces and to test the end product. We are pleased to list here some existing radii which are available at no cost to our customers. For prototype quantities, using existing tooling can represent large savings. Since this list is always changing, Argyle International cannot guarantee that individual entries in the list are current. Please contact us to verify your design before ordering. Concave tooling is used for convex lens surfaces, and convex tooling is used for concave lens surfaces. Tooling diameter should be similar to lens diameter.
